At the age of 21, the young Handel went to Italy, the pinnacle of culture, to find the musical inspiration that would mark the rest of his oeuvre. He soon went through life as Maestro Giorgio Frederico Hendel and composed his impressive Dixit Dominus there. This is Handel's setting of psalm 110. A great opportunity to hear this Dixit Dominus with young voices (and young soloists) accompanied by the Lutheran Bach Ensemble conducted by Tymen-Jan Bronda. Welcome!
